Open Source Contribution & OSS Programs (GSoC, MLH, etc.)

This session is designed to introduce students and developers to the world of Open Source Software (OSS) and how contributing can accelerate both learning and career growth. Participants will gain insights into the open source ecosystem, contribution pathways, and collaboration best practices. The session will also cover renowned global OSS programs such as Google Summer of Code (GSoC), Major League Hacking (MLH), and others that provide mentorship, funding, and global exposure to contributors.
