CapacitorJS: Turn Your Web App into a Mobile App

Approved
Session Description

CapacitorJS is a cross-platform native runtime that enables developers to build mobile applications using modern web technologies. It allows us to run our existing web applications built with frameworks like React, Vue, Angular, or even plain JavaScript as native apps on iOS & Android.
If our application runs in a browser, chances are it will run in a mobile environment with Capacitor as well.
This session is for web developers who wish to transform their existing frontend applications into fully functional mobile apps without rewriting the codebase in native languages.

Key Takeaways
  • What is CapacitorJS, and why & when it comes into play?

  • How does Capacitor work behind the scenes?

  • Hands-on session: Convert your React web app into a native mobile app using Capacitor.

The proposal is light on session description, but overall, it looks good. Personal suggestion - it will be great if the proposer could also highlight alternatives to capacitorjs (if any) that can also be used to convert react web apps into native apps + what the pros/cons of capacitorjs are when compared to those other tools
