Designers want to contribute to FOSS but struggle to find the right starting point. Meanwhile, many projects could benefit from design help but don’t know how to communicate their needs. Instead of designers creating unsolicited proposals, what if maintainers could share specific design needs. Since maintainers know what they want to build and can commit to implementing changes, both sides can collaborate more effectively.
