The Android Open Source Project (AOSP) has undergone significant changes over the past year or so. Not just in new features, but also in how the project itself is developed and governed. This lightning talk provides a quick overview of the recent developments in the AOSP ecosystem, including the transition of AOSP main to read-only, introduction to android-latest-release branch, mandatory registration for app developers, the Android Automotive OS (AAOS) Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) release, updates from aosp-devs.org community and other updates shaping Android's future.
