Journalist since 1983. Freelance since 1994. Reporting on FOSS (Free/Libre and Open Source Software) since circa 1999. Writeups and articles have appeared in Linux For You, Open Source, Linux Journal (US), Linux Magazine (Germany), Free Software Magazine, Express Computer and other outlets. Co-founded the India Linux User Group (Goa) and Free Software User Group (Goa). Wrote country reports on India and other Asian countries (adoption of FOSS) for the extant International Open Source Network, Malaysia. Speaker at FOSS.in, Open Source India, etc. Networked ILUG groups across India in the early 2000s. Currently compiling an ebook/book titled Who's Who of FOSS in India.

Literally no details in the proposal. I am inclined to reject it but the author's profile seems very interesting. Going to accept it for now.

I'd like to get more details about the talk. Frederick is a well known figure in the FOSS community, so it's bound to be interesting, but a more detailed description will certainly help!
