Description

OSDC Codejam V5 — Cool Tools™ Edition

Gear up to code, create, and jingle all the way in a five‑day hackathon where projects ship faster than Santa’s elves can wrap gifts.

What is Codejam?

Codejam is a fast‑paced, weeklong hack where contributors team up, build a working prototype around a shared theme, and demo their work at the end.
You’ll register solo, get matched into balanced teams by stack and experience, and collaborate entirely online.

This year’s theme: Cool Tools™

Make everyday helpers that automate or improve anything - tab managers, discount‑sniffing extensions, or quality‑of‑life utilities for students and developers.
Academic helpers are welcome too, from planning dashboards to “marks‑to‑survive‑finals” calculators inspired by campus classics like JPortal‑style tools.

How it works
  • Register as an individual; teams are formed by organizers to balance skills and tech stacks.

  • Interpret the theme broadly: web, mobile, CLI, browser extensions, bots, or data utilities all qualify.

  • Build in public: keep your repo readable, commits frequent, and have a runnable demo by eval time.
