Approved
Session Description

Ceph is a free and open-source software-defined storage platform that provides object storage, block storage, and file storage built on a common distributed cluster foundation.

We are transitioning into an era where the rate of growth of data is becoming rapidly exponential.

There are only a handful of open-source solutions that have been able to make this transition smooth for the world. In this talk, we’ll touch base on the basics of software-defined storage and distributed systems. And then we'll talk about the journey of Ceph from its inception to becoming a highly scalable SDS solution.

Reviews

This seems to be a really good introductory talk towards the Ceph project and the speaker has good experience with the product itself plus they also seem to be a part of the same project which sounds great.
