About Chapter (UIT – FOSS United Club)

The FOSS United Club – United Institute of Technology (UIT) is a student-led initiative under the guidance of the FOSS United Foundation.

Our mission is to promote Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) by fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and contribution within the campus community.

🔹 What we do:

• Organize awareness sessions on FOSS philosophy, tools, and practices

• Conduct hands-on technical workshops (Linux, Git, Python, Web Dev, AI/ML, etc.)

• Encourage open-source contributions through events like Hacktoberfest and sprints

• Collaborate with developer communities (IEEE, GDG, GFG, FlutterFlow)

• Promote inclusivity and diversity with initiatives supporting Women in Tech

Through the UIT chapter, students will gain the opportunity to explore open technologies, contribute to real-world projects, and be part of a global open-source movement.
