FirstIssue is a tool that helps developers discover relevant open-source contribution opportunities. By analyzing a user’s GitHub profile, it identifies their primary languages and activity patterns and recommends suitable issues from active repositories. The system also performs repository health checks to ensure the issues come from maintained projects. By intelligently matching developers with appropriate tasks, FirstIssue helps both beginners and experienced contributors save time and focus on meaningful contributions.
