MeshGuard

A self-hosted, peer-to-peer mesh VPN designed to bypass CGNAT and connect home labs securely without third-party control planes.

Description

MeshGuard is a self-sovereign, peer-to-peer mesh VPN designed to solve the CGNAT problem. Unlike Tailscale, which relies on centralised proprietary control plane, MeshGuard allows users to host their own lightweight coordination server on any low-cost VPS. It uses WireGuard for encryption and implements NAT traversal to allow direct connections between devices behind restrictive firewalls, all without needing a static IP.
